The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is offering graduate recruitment programs in the following areas:
- Accounting - Graduates in the accounting stream work with other staff members on writing financial advice, preparing financial reports/budgets and costing new policy.
- Economics and Applied Statistics - as a graduate economist in DEEWR you will work in a dynamic environment, learn new skills, and undertake research and analysis on cutting edge labour market issues.
- Information Technology - as an IT graduate you will undertake a number of roles including placements in technical development, business analysis and systems testing.
- Legal - the legal Graduate Program at DEEWR will allow you to develop the necessary expertise to work in both public and private law.
- Social Policy Analysts - as a Social Policy Analyst you will get the opportunity to undertake policy formation, strategic analysis and research.
- General - as a graduate in the General stream, you will have opportunities to broaden your skills and gain experience across a variety of areas.
To be eligible for the DEEWR Graduate Program, applicants must:
- have completed, or be due to complete, a tertiary qualification from an Australian tertiary institution or a tertiary institution from outside Australia that has been recognised by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR)
- be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia who are applying for citizenship by the commencement of the program
