iPhone apps

There are so many iPhone apps out there, but which ones are useful for students with a disability?? Spectronics Australia has put together some lists of apps, their features and their cost.
Here are some links to some apps you may find useful:

• Apps for literacy support
• Apps for low vision (eg magnifiers)
• Optical Character Recognition (reads from a photo, eg take a photo of a menu and the app will 'read' it to you).
• Apps for Organisation
• Apps which convert text to speech
• Apps which convert speech to text (eg like Dragon Naturally Speaking)
• An app to help manage diabetes, GlucoseBuddy
