Stepping into.. program 2012

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to complete a paid work experience program at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for a total of 470 hours between September 2012 and March 2013. The ATO is the government's principal revenue collection agency. They manage and shape tax, excise and superannuation systems that fund services for Australians. They also support the delivery of community benefits with roles in private health insurance, family assistance and cross-agency support.
In Stepping Into 2012, internship opportunities are available for students in the following disciplines across a range of locations:
Law, Banking & Finance, Business & Commerce, Marketing & Communications, Economics, Human Resources (HR)
Accounting Information Technology (IT)
Applications must close by July 13 as I need to do a briefing session and short list of students for the ATO by July 27. The interview of students will commence around August 6.
Due to government procedures and timeframes students will be unable to start the internship until mid September.
